ALL NEW!! The new
Retro-King "Catalina Reverb". Based on
the 60s Black Face Princeton Reverb
circuit, but with increased tremolo
depth, a slight increase in mids, and
lows voiced to bloom into a sweeter
breakup and avoid farting out when
pushed. Handwired, point to point on
eyelet board.

I have been a
guitar player for most of my life
and I have owned most of the best
amps made during the 50's and
60's. I have repaired,
moded and designed amps for over
20 years. I know what
they should look and sound like.
I build these amps with the same
quality and tone as you would
expect from these great
amps. I use the
best components available in
production today and take the time
to test and tweak each amp I
build, as if it were my own.
A lot of boutique
amp builders will copy the
original circuits exactly.
This is fine, I can do that to,
but in the real world of the
guitarist that circuit might have
too much mud in the normal channel
or too much high end in the bright
channel or not enough gain or they
wish they could have more
flexibility in shaping there tone,
even if it is subtle. That's
where I come in. As a
working guitarist I understand
this and build your amp for your
desired tone.
Feel free to call or e-mail me I
would love to build one for you."

Review:
" My 2x12 18 watter is one
hell of an amp. It has
replaced my vintage
Blackface Super Reverb. I've
gigged with it twice, both
in close quarters to a loud
drummer & both times
this amp has held its own. I
plug into the normal channel
(2nd input) with either my
Strat or Les Paul, & the
sound is very tight &
clean. In ...fact, at times
I prefer the the clean on
the Retro King to my Super
Reverb. The overdrive on
this sucker is killer. I
never thought I'd be able to
get an SRV (Little Wing)
tone & a very
convinceable Santana sound
all from the same amp. The
sustain on this thing is bad
ass. Master Volume feature
is a definite must for those
enclosed gigs. Chuck Dean is
totally helpful & the
most patient guy out there.
He knew what I wanted even
if I wasn't able to explain
it myself. Chuck, U are the
man! Retro King, U are the
amp!"
